Lovell chosen for £40 million north-west Wales housing improvement programme

Morgan Sindall Group’s affordable housing business Lovell has been selected by new social housing provider Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd Cyf (CCG) to deliver a £40 million, four-year improvement programme for 6,300 homes across Gwynedd in north-west Wales.

Work is set to start in April on the scheme which will mean new jobs and business opportunities within the construction sector in Gwynedd.

Lovell will carry out a range of modernisation work designed to bring the housing association’s stock up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard. The programme will vary from home to home and will include improvements such as the installation of new kitchens and bathrooms, new heating systems and external, roofing and structural work.

The specialist Lovell resident liaison team will work closely with residents, who will mainly stay in their homes during the improvement programme, to ensure the work goes smoothly and efficiently.
