Morgan Ashurst wins £28 million Heathrow T3 contract

Morgan Sindall’s construction business Morgan Ashurst has been selected by BAA to deliver a portfolio of preconstruction services at Terminal 3 (T3) in Heathrow Airport worth over £28 million.

The company is one of the partners working for BAA on the expansion and redevelopment of Heathrow which will see the company take responsibility for project managing the design and delivery of the programme on behalf of BAA at T3.

The significant programme of works at T3 forms part of the airline relocation requirements for Heathrow since the completion of Terminal 5. As part of the preconstruction scheme, Morgan Ashurst will refurbish Pier 7, install security segregation on Pier 7 and convert current gate rooms into a crew lounge for Virgin Atlantic Airways employees. The company will also upgrade Pier 5, refurbish the check-in area of T3 and facilitate airline relocation within the T3 building.

With a progressive programme of work, the project is due to reach total completion by the summer of 2009.
