Yorkshire Water has awarded Morgan Sindall’s infrastructure business Morgan Est, and joint venture partner Grontmij, a five-year framework contract to help deliver its AMP5 programme. The contract is worth around £60 million to Morgan Est and work will commence next month.
The project includes improvement works to clean and waste water treatment works including civil, process, mechanical and electrical engineering works from investigation and feasibility to commissioning and handover. This framework award further enhances Morgan Est’s relationship with Yorkshire Water, which has been developed through the last two Asset Management Periods (AMP).
“This is an excellent contract win for Morgan Est and builds on our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water,” says Paul Smith, chief executive of Morgan Sindall. “The appointment underlines Morgan Est’s strength and expertise as one of the country’s leading water and infrastructure specialists.”
